Everything You Need to Know About LinkedIn Subscriptions in 2026

A hand holds a magnifying glass over a profile card from a tool, likely La Growth Machine, showing LinkedIn intents.

TL;DR

LinkedIn offers various paid subscriptions (Premium Business, Sales Navigator, Recruiter Lite, Premium Career, LinkedIn Learning) that enhance its free version. Sales Navigator is ideal for B2B sales prospecting, Premium Career for job seekers, and Recruiter Lite for recruiters. The choice depends on individual needs and goals.

LinkedIn is arguably the most powerful networking tool for sales professionals. LinkedIn offers several subscription versions, with enhanced features compared to its Basic version.

What are the different subscriptions available? What are the functions of each paid version of LinkedIn? And what are its benefits for businesses?

In this blog post, I will present the different subscriptions LinkedIn offers and help you choose the one that’s right for you.

What are the different LinkedIn subscriptions?

LinkedIn as we know it is just the tip of the iceberg.

Indeed, there are several types of LinkedIn Premium subscriptions, each with different features and benefits.

Here are the paid subscriptions available for LinkedIn as of today:

All these options give you access to a LinkedIn Premium account.

Over the years, the social network has adapted its offering to satisfy its different personas, namely:

Let’s now look at the advantages and disadvantages of each of these plans.

Free LinkedIn Version

Before going into detail about the extent of LinkedIn Premium features, it’s important to understand what you get with the free version of LinkedIn.

A free LinkedIn account gives you access to the following features:

  • A LinkedIn profile that can be viewed by anyone on LinkedIn;
  • The ability to connect with other LinkedIn members;
  • Basic search function – very limited, you’ll understand why;
  • Up to 3 saved searches;
  • The ability to access LinkedIn Pulse.

With the basic version, you can create a profile, connect with other LinkedIn members, and perform some basic searches.

In fact, a free LinkedIn account gives you access to the essentials, which is already quite good, but not necessarily sufficient compared to other subscription versions that will give you access to other services like LinkedIn KPIs.

So without further ado, let me take you through the paid subscriptions.

LinkedIn Subscription 1: Premium Business

Ideal for small businesses and small marketing teams, the LinkedIn Premium Business plan gives you access to a series of features designed to support your marketing efforts.

With this plan, you get access to these new features:

  • Insight Tags: which allows you to get valuable data on people visiting your company page, and visibility on what truly engages your audience.
  • Lead Generation Forms: which allows you to integrate lead capture forms on your company page to collect prospects directly from LinkedIn.
  • Company Page Analytics: which allows you to receive detailed analysis of your company page’s performance, such as views, clicks, and user engagement. This data is essential for iterating on your content strategy, for example.

Finally, the Premium Business plan allows you to send LinkedIn messages and see who visits your profile – again, perhaps leads!

Overall, this plan therefore improves your ability to understand your flow and generate leads on LinkedIn, rather on the inbound side.

LinkedIn Subscription 2: Sales Navigator

My favorite LinkedIn subscription: LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Sales Navigator gives you access to a sort of enhanced LinkedIn where you’ll find several advantages:

  • Access to the complete database: by default, LinkedIn Basic only gives you access to part of the database. This means you might miss out on very, very hot leads. An undeniable loss of revenue in the long run.
  • Access to lead lists: thanks to Sales Nav, you can create lead lists based on segmentation criteria you’ve established, which can echo how you’ve built your personas, for example.
  • Ultra-precise filters: this is truly the big value of this plan. Thanks to Sales Navigator, you can target very, very finely, and multiply audiences of 100 or 150 leads, on which you’ll have a big impact and strong engagement.

Today, LinkedIn Sales Navigator is truly the indispensable tool for prospecting and social selling on LinkedIn. When used correctly, the return on investment is practically guaranteed.

Indeed, you can import your Sales Nav leads directly into La Growth Machine, which will handle data enrichment (=collecting even more data from the initial LinkedIn data, such as personal email, lead’s phone number, etc…). Basically, we find email addresses and phone numbers from LinkedIn and import them into La Growth Machine for you. Pretty cool, right?

You can then schedule all your automated prospecting campaigns!

Here are the results of one of our campaigns on which we applied this process:

When I told you it was really powerful…

LinkedIn Subscription 3: Recruiter Lite

The Recruiter Lite subscription is, as its name suggests, intended for recruiters.

It allows you to:

  • Easily find the best candidates thanks to advanced search;
  • Learn more about candidates through their detailed profiles;
  • Contact them directly via InMail (for a limited time);
  • Track their activity on LinkedIn.

While it’s an interesting option, this plan is often considered too expensive (€119 per month), especially for recruiters who don’t necessarily need all the features of this offer.

LinkedIn Subscription 4: Premium Career

The Premium Career plan is the newest of all.

It was launched by LinkedIn in 2019 and is primarily aimed at people looking for a job or wanting to develop their career, i.e., job seekers or those looking to change positions.

A LinkedIn Premium Career subscription allows you to:

  • Optimize your LinkedIn profile so that it is more visible to recruiters;
  • Have priority access to job openings;
  • Contact recruiters directly via InMail (for a limited time);
  • See who has viewed your profile;
  • Access courses and content to help you in your job search or career development;
  • Use LinkedIn’s private profile feature.

If you are looking for a job, this LinkedIn subscription is for you. The features offered are indeed very useful for candidates and the price (€29.99 including tax per month) remains reasonable.

Which LinkedIn Subscription to Choose?

Now that you know a bit more about LinkedIn Premium subscription offers and prices, you might be wondering which solution is best suited to your situation.

As we saw earlier, there are 4 LinkedIn subscriptions and all include access to LinkedIn Learning, which is a knowledge base for learning about the tool and its features.

The choice of LinkedIn subscription depends on your profile:

  • If you are an individual and are not looking to use LinkedIn to develop your business or find a job, the basic free plan is more than sufficient.
  • For B2B sales professionals who want to generate qualified leads through LinkedIn prospecting, I highly recommend getting Sales Navigator. This plan is truly the most comprehensive if you want to use LinkedIn as a salesperson. It provides access to all of LinkedIn’s most advanced features.
  • If you are looking for a job or want to advance your career, and have some money to invest, the LinkedIn Premium Career subscription might be the right solution. Indeed, the features offered are very useful for candidates, particularly priority access to job openings and the ability to contact recruiters directly. You will thus have a definite advantage over candidates using the free version of LinkedIn.
  • If you are a recruiter or headhunter, you might consider using LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, although, as mentioned above, Sales Nav offers very useful features for certain types of recruitment.

Comparison Table of LinkedIn Subscriptions

Still not convinced despite the explanations above? Don’t worry, LinkedIn has put in place a summary table to understand the features included in each plan and compare them easily.

This table is only a partial list of the features of each subscription.

If you want to delve deeper into the subject, I advise you to go directly to the resources provided by LinkedIn.

Go Further with LinkedIn Corporate Offers

LinkedIn also offers corporate solutions, intended for larger organizations, such as business units or very large recruitment teams.

These offers are quite expensive (starting from €10,000 per month) but allow, among other things:

  • To generate qualified leads;
  • To test your LinkedIn opening lines;
  • To improve your company’s visibility on LinkedIn;
  • To develop your employer brand;
  • To optimize your advertising campaigns;
  • And much more.

In short, these are often custom solutions adapted to the budgets and processes of business units and other large groups.

If these offers interest you, we advise you to contact LinkedIn’s sales department directly.
