What Reply Agent does with each reply

A lead replies Not right now on LinkedIn, and Reply Agent answers with a question from the playbook

It digs into the vague replies

ExampleLead: I think it is being reviewed internally. Reply Agent: Thanks, Tom. Is client onboarding part of what’s being reviewed, or is it more about timing?

Reply Agent answers in the same LinkedIn conversation, from the identity that ran the campaign. It asks the question your best rep would ask, to find out whether there is a real need behind a “not now” or a “we’ll see”.

task_altA clear “no” or an annoyed lead gets no automatic reply.

A lead asks What do you do exactly, and Reply Agent answers from the approved sales playbook

It answers questions from your playbook

ExampleLead: Sure, what do you need? Reply Agent: Quick context: we help software teams onboard new clients in one shared plan. How do you run onboarding today?

It explains what you sell with the facts in your sales playbook, then asks one question to keep the conversation going. The playbook is built from your website, and you edit and approve it first.

task_altIt never invents a price, a feature or a customer result.

No answer from the lead: Reply Agent sends a first follow-up, then a second one on another day, then stops

It follows up twice, then stops

ExampleLead: I’m more on the outreach side, so I wouldn’t be the right person. Reply Agent: Thanks for the heads-up, Amara. Who handles client onboarding on your team?

Wrong person, or no answer? It asks who to talk to, then sends up to two follow-ups, on different days. Your conversation gets the messages most reps never find time to send.

task_altNo third message. And if you reply yourself, its follow-ups are canceled.

A lead asks for a demo: Reply Agent hands the conversation back with the reason and a summary in Slack

Interested? The lead comes back to you

ExampleLead: Sounds good. Can we set up a demo next week? You get: the reason, “confirmed interest, asks for a demo”, and a summary of the thread.

A demo request, a pricing or legal question, a competitor: Reply Agent steps back. You get the reason and a summary of the conversation in Slack and in your inbox, ready to take over.

task_altIt never negotiates prices or terms.

forumReplies it takes

  • Replies to your LinkedIn outreach campaigns
  • A lead who leaves the door open without a clear need: “not now”, “not sure”, “I'm not in charge”
  • A lead who asks a question or wants to understand more
  • Only when no one on your team has replied yet
  • No automatic reply to a clear refusal, an annoyed lead or an interested lead

psychologyHow it answers

  • Reads the thread, the lead's details, their likely persona, your playbook and your qualification rules
  • One step picks the next move: ask, suggest, answer, move forward or close
  • A second step writes it in your tone of voice, without adding facts
  • Uses only the facts you approved
  • When in doubt, sends nothing and hands the conversation back with the reason

menu_bookSales playbook

  • Generated from your website
  • Product description and value proposition
  • Tone of voice: style, length, rules
  • Ideal customer profiles: size, location, industry, maturity
  • Personas: role, day-to-day reality, needs
  • Needs: what to uncover, and the capabilities that answer them

repeatFollow-ups

  • One reply, then up to two follow-ups, on different days
  • Stops when the lead replies, and reassesses the conversation
  • Stops when someone on your team replies, and cancels its follow-ups
  • Stops when the lead's status changes or the conversation is handed back
  • Stops rather than risk an unsuitable reply

front_handHandoffs

  • Confirmed interest: a quote, a demo, a meeting, availability
  • Commercial judgment: discounts, contracts, special terms
  • Legal or compliance: GDPR, a DPA, security requirements
  • A personal question, an off-topic conversation
  • A comparison with another solution
  • A lead who seems annoyed, or any situation where another automatic reply could hurt the relationship
  • The reason and a summary in the inbox side panel, and in Slack if you turn it on

tuneInbox and settings

  • A “by Reply Agent” tag on its messages, next to the identity
  • A “Handled by Reply Agent” filter in the inbox
  • Pick the campaigns and the identities it works on
  • Takes over as soon as the lead replies, or after 24 hours
  • A simulation on your own replies before you switch it on
  • Pause it at any time

Frequently asked questions

Which plans include Reply Agent? add

Reply Agent is in beta, rolling out to the Pro and Ultimate plans. Once it’s in your account, you set it up from the Reply Agent tab: you need a connected LinkedIn identity and an outreach campaign running.

Does it send messages without my approval? add

Yes, within the scope you set: the campaigns and identities you pick, the playbook you approved and the timing you chose. Before you switch it on, a simulation shows what it would answer on your own replies, without sending anything. You can pause it at any time.

Can it make things up? add

No. It only uses the facts in the playbook you approved. It never invents a price, a feature, an integration or a customer result, and when it isn't sure, it sends nothing and hands the conversation back to you with the reason.

Which replies does it answer? add

Replies to your LinkedIn outreach campaigns that are worth exploring: a lead who leaves the door open (“not now”, “not sure”, “I'm not in charge”) or asks a question. It doesn't answer clear refusals, annoyed leads or interested leads, and it stays out of any conversation someone on your team has already picked up. It works on LinkedIn today; email replies are coming soon.

How many times does it follow up? add

It sends one reply, then up to two follow-ups, on different days. It stops as soon as the lead replies (and reassesses the conversation), someone on your team replies, the conversation is handed back or the lead's status changes.

What happens when a lead is interested? add

Reply Agent steps back. A demo, meeting or pricing request, a legal question, a competitor comparison, a personal or off-topic question, or a lead who seems annoyed: the conversation comes back to your team, with the reason and a summary in the inbox side panel and in Slack if you turn it on.

What if someone on my team replies too? add

Your team always comes first. As soon as someone replies in the conversation, Reply Agent pauses and cancels its scheduled follow-ups. Just take it from there.

Will it sound like a bot? add

It writes in the tone of voice you set in your playbook (style, length, one question at a time), in the same LinkedIn conversation and from the identity that ran the campaign. It stops rather than risk an unsuitable reply.

Is Reply Agent an AI SDR? add

No, and that's on purpose. It doesn't prospect and it doesn't replace your reps: it works after a lead replies, on the conversations your team has no time to explore, and hands back every lead that shows interest.

Does it reply on its own, or draft replies for me to approve? add

It replies on its own, within the scope you set, after you approve the playbook and see the simulation. To draft answers to every other reply and approve each one, on LinkedIn or by email, use the La Growth Machine MCP from Claude or ChatGPT.

Does it use credits? add

Before it answers, Reply Agent looks up the lead's company, using the credits included in your plan. You can top up from €5.
