AI Playbooks/Sales Nav Search Builder
For RevOps & GTM Engineers Audience Builder

Build a Sales Navigator search by describing your ICP

Tell Claude who you want to reach. It writes the Sales Navigator URL for you, boolean strings, role normalization and noise exclusion included. You stay on the targeting, Claude handles the syntax.

Get started

The Sales Navigator search URL is painful to build by hand. The format is undocumented and double-encoded, it needs LinkedIn's own IDs for industries, regions and seniority, and it breaks on a single lowercase or or a curly quote.

This skill knows the format, so you don't have to. You describe your segment in plain words. Claude maps the filters to LinkedIn's IDs, writes the boolean title string, excludes the usual noise, validates the syntax, and hands you a URL that opens straight in Sales Navigator. You stay on the targeting. Claude takes care of the rest.

  • Describe your ICP in plain words, no boolean syntax to memorize
  • Get a validated Sales Navigator URL with industries, seniority and headcount mapped
  • Let it exclude fractional, freelance and other noise for you
  • Open it in Sales Navigator with the search and results already loaded, or import it to La Growth Machine in one click

Build your first search

1

Describe your segment to Claude

Brief Claude the way you'd brief a colleague. Say who you want, where, how senior, and what to leave out. No filters to click, no boolean to remember.

Prompt to copy copy
CMOs and VPs of Marketing at software and tech companies in North America. Exclude fractional, interim, freelance, assistants and associates.

What you'll get: Claude reads the segment and starts mapping it to Sales Navigator's filters.

2

Claude builds the search, booleans included

Claude maps your words to LinkedIn's filter IDs, writes the title boolean, and validates the syntax before it builds the URL. No lowercase or, no curly quotes, no broken search, just a working URL.

That's the real Sales Navigator URL Claude builds. Open it, import it, or refine it, next.

3

Refine it until the targeting is right

The first search is rarely the final one, and that's the point. Reply in plain words to narrow, widen or re-segment, and Claude rebuilds the URL and hands you the updated one. No need to start over or touch a single filter.

Prompt to copy copy
Tighten it: only 201 to 1000 employees, exclude consulting, advertising and marketing-services companies, drop titles mentioning consultant or agency, and keep only people who recently changed jobs.
https://www.linkedin.com/sales/search/people?query=(filters:List((type:INDUSTRY,values:List((id:4…+headcount+excluded industries+changed jobs… copy URL

What you'll get: the same URL, rebuilt with headcount, excluded industries, tighter title filters and the new-job signal. Repeat until the list looks exactly like your ICP.

4

Use it your way

The search is ready. Open the URL straight in Sales Navigator to work the list by hand, or have Claude import it into La Growth Machine in one click so the audience is live and ready for a multichannel campaign.

Open in Sales Navigator
  • Every filter is applied, start prospecting in seconds
  • Stays in LinkedIn, no other tool needed
  • You work the list by hand, no multichannel outreach
Import to La Growth Machine
  • One-click audience, then LinkedIn, email and voice from one place
  • Checks your active campaigns, avoids duplicates, respects sending limits
  • Requires the La Growth Machine MCP

Bonus: give it a persona.md so one sentence is enough

Write your ICP down once. Drop a persona.md next to the skill with your titles, seniority, company profile and the noise to exclude. Then you don't re-describe your persona every time. You say "get profiles of my persona in fintech, in Germany", and Claude reads the file, keeps your persona, and just swaps the industry and the country.

persona.md copy
icp: Series B SaaS, 50-500 employees
persona: RevOps / GTM Engineer who owns the outbound stack
titles: "RevOps" OR "Revenue Operations" OR "GTM Engineer" OR "Sales Ops"
seniority: Manager, Director, VP
exclude: fractional, freelance, agency, students
signals:
  - hiring SDRs or BDRs
  - mentions Outreach, Salesloft or Clay in the profile
default_geo: United States, United Kingdom

Now a one-liner like "get my persona in fintech, in Germany" is a full, validated search.

Go further: import fresh leads every morning

Once a search works, keep it. Have Claude save the validated URLs in a leads_sales_nav.md file, one line per search with the audience it feeds. Then run it on a routine: every morning Claude reads the file, pulls the new profiles from each search, and pushes them into La Growth Machine, deduped against what's already there. Your audiences stay fresh without you touching Sales Navigator.
