I’ve already covered why LinkedIn voice messages are one of the most underestimated features in my article “Capture Candidates’ Attention with Voice Messages”.
Initially, this article was aimed more towards recruiters, showing how they could humanize their outreach, which helps boost the personality of their recruitment process. At first, I thought that would be the most suitable use case.
However, after two years of rigorous testing and gathering feedback from our clients, it’s clear: voice messages are simply a must-have for everyone!
The Growth Machine is the only platform capable of automating and personalizing voice messages at scale, thanks to our revolutionary LGM Voice AI technology.
To illustrate the impact of this feature, I will use this article to analyze a multi-channel sequence on La Growth Machine, showcasing the effectiveness of LinkedIn voice messages.
Let’s go! 👇
Two types of LinkedIn voice automations:
With La Growth Machine, you can now automate the sending of LinkedIn voice messages in two ways:
- A simple voice message that does not involve any personalization variables or placeholders that you use to personalize the message. Placeholders can be used for your prospects’ data or your own (useful for those who outsource their outbound automation processes).
- A voice message with a personalized intro: You choose a personalized intro and placeholder, and the AI generates the audio in your own voice. You then just have to add the rest of your message as a simple voice message. After that, all you have to do is record the rest of your voice message, and the two tracks will be linked together to generate a personalized voice message for each prospect!
Here are the variables you can use in your intro:
How about a video explaining exactly how to do it in 3 simple steps (Sound on 🔊)
Launching a campaign with LinkedIn AI voice messages:
Now that you know what LGM offers, let me show you a real campaign example that uses Voice Messages to perfection.
Context 🎯
- Context: Imagine you are a Community Builder looking to generate the first sign-ups for your community.
- Actions: This campaign is designed to make a first contact with experts, ask them questions about their needs, what they would look for in a community, etc.
- Results: A solid response rate of 26%. Considering an average of 20-30% for most of our clients, we are in a good range here. I’ll share the full results later.
The famous sequence:

Here’s a video explaining everything behind the campaign:
But if you prefer reading, here you go! It’s not really that complicated:
- Start with a connection request and of course, as usual, add a LinkedIn note:
- Once they accept me, I send my voice Note, here’s the transcript:
- The voice note is immediately followed by a LinkedIn message which is nothing more than my Calendly link.
Expert advice 🧠
Two things here:
First, sending two messages in a row is a “strategy” I use to simulate manual interaction, as quickly following up a message with another is a very natural human behavior.
Second, let me give you some tips on how to create a voice message:
- Smile while recording your message, it shows!
- Keep it concise. Your voice message should not exceed 50 seconds.
- Save your introduction for later. Now is the time to pique your prospect’s curiosity.
- Maintain an air of mystery to entice the prospect to reach out to you.

Final thoughts:
Whether you’re in sales, growth, or recruiting, I’m sure you can find a place for LinkedIn voice messages in your outreach strategy!
In this article, I’ve covered a very basic example of market research. But I encourage you to take it as a template and apply it to your own use case.
Also, don’t be afraid to play around with the copy, the only advice you should follow is this:
- Be direct and to the point. Explain what you need from the lead, what you bring to the table, and the value you’ll add to their life.
Other than that, feel free to A/B different copywriting styles, this really depends on the business itself! But again, that’s what LGM is all about; Test-Analyze-Iterate.😏
